Every colour has an effect on us - having background knowledge of colour psychology and chromatherapy helps when choosing the perfect palette for a client.

A cluttered space can stagnate the energy and is unsettling to a person's mind.

My clients are a part of the initial colour selection process - their reaction to colour, whether it be from past association or memory, can determine which direction their overall look may become.

De-cluttering can go overboard - if there are too few items in a space, the energy can move too quickly and this can be unsettling to a person's mind. Balance is the key - space-planning expertise can help create a calming space.

Colour Breakdown - the most pleasing colour combination to the human eye is 60% primary or base colour, 30% secondary or complimentary, 10% of an accent colour or a pop of colour.

Flooring - When choosing one type of flooring for a space, bring samples of all the other flooring you currently have or are thinking of to add. Place the samples together in natural light to get a true idea of how they work together.

Art Selection - art speaks to each of us in different ways - our past experiences, pleasant or traumatic, can colour how we see a certain piece. Taking the time to understand a person's perception goes a long way to creating a space that they love.
